"The Farm"

Today we went to "the farm" of one of our professors.  I say "the farm" because it was more like a mansion with maids, a pool, and a fantastic garden out in the countryside.  We were introduced to this Amideast excursion with the title "Intro to Rural Life", however it may have been more accurate to call it a "Trip to the Country Home".  Though it may not have been authentic rural living, it was beautiful and action-packed.

Across the day we succeeded in the following tasks:  shopping in a traditional rural farmer's market for our lunch supplies, planting an orange tree, picking fresh lemons and herbs, playing a game of lemonball (football with a lemon), making sparkling lemonade with mint, eating a couscous with three entire chicken in it, tasting leben, walking around the countryside to play with sheep and lamb, petting a 10 day old calf, visiting a cow shed and milking a cow, riding a donkey up a hill, baking fresh bread, and enjoying our bread and lemonade with fresh figs and almonds from the farmer's market.  Now lets let the pictures do the talking as I sleep off my first bit of sunburn in Morocco.
