It has been quite a while since I have posted anything because of my very welcomed visitor, Ann Leslie. My mom was able to make the long trek over here last week Wednesday/Thursday to visit with me for a week. Now it is Wednesday again and we have many activities to cram into our last few days together. To begin we started in Casablanca on Thursday and traveled to Tanger on Friday. By Sunday we were back in Rabat. After that whirlwind trip, and a little bout of the traveler's flu on Leslie's end, we settled into the famous Hotel Balima across from Parliment and went on many important site-seeing adventures. Monday night was dinner with my host family and yesterday I finally made it out to Muhammed V's Mausoleum. More adventures and pictures to come soon. Stay posted!
I hope you are enjoying your time with your mother, Caity! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog entries and seeing your amazing photos! I particularly enjoyed hearing about your journey to Essouira, Ouarzazate and Merzouga. I love the camel shadow pic! Has your mother gone to a hamman with you? Jake and I went to the public baths in Budapest last year and loved it. Thank you for taking the time to share your many adventures. Oh, and congratulations on your acceptance to the Univ. of VA for linguistic anthropology and psycholinguistics! Fondly, Gay Ruby
